I need to get this down before i forget.

I went to my first behavior class yesterday, on self esteem.

I went and worked out at 24 hour fitness, i did:

the elliptical for 27 minutes (which equaled to 255 calories, 3300 strides)

I ate yesterday (and i'm not proud of it):

2 sausage McMuffins from McDonalds

Quiznos Sammies turkey sanoma w/lettuce, tomatoes, honey mustard, and pickles
& a cup of Broccoli and cheese soup
with a large chocolate chip cookie

Highland Inn Korean food- Mini Meat jun w/1 scoop rice, cabbage, and tofu

3 of my own homemade cookies (chocolate pumpkin)

I drank yesterday:
around 72 oz of water

My first day

Okay. so this is it. I am finally doing it. I working towards getting the Lap Band surgery.

I have been on the the waiting list for this program, through kaiser, for a little over a year now. I had my orientation on this past November 4 and today I had my first appointment to see the dietitian. This will be one of four classes, plus the other 16 classes I have to attend before being approved by the Doctor's for surgery.

I am currently 23 years old and weigh 355 lbs. That is roughly a BMI of 52. Not so fun. I have been heavy all my life.

I wish i had a before picture to post, i must work on getting one taken.

My dietitian said i need to start writing down everything i eat for now on. So here it goes.

For today, i ate:

2 Teriyaki Spam Musibis (7 11)
2 Spicy Ahi Rolls (7 11)
2 oz. bag Chips ahoy bit size cookies
Subway footlong Spicy Italian on Italian Herbs and cheese, w/ provolone, honey mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, olives, onions, and salt & pepper.
2 White Chocolate Macadamia nut cookies
Tiger Maki @ Ninja Sushi

I drank today:
1/2 of a 20oz. bottle of the Arizona half lemonade half ice tea (i drank half because it didn't taste good)
a 20oz. Vitamin Water
48 oz. of water
a tall eggnog latte from starbucks

Man, when i write it down like this, i amazes me that i ate all of this today. I think this program is going to be good for me.


My first step goals is to cut out any unnecessary liquid beverages and replace them with later or low calorie drinks. That means that after today, i need to cut out my soda, vitamin waters and lattes. Oh man am i going to miss those. and right before thanksgiving too.

My other goal is to increase my walking. they gave me a pedometer, now i just have to find it somewhere lost in my room.
